HISTORY OF THE SEEDS OF FAITH CONFERENCE
The “Seeds of Faith” conference began in 1994-95 as the Education for Ministry (EFM) participants in Meridian, Mississippi sought answers to questions of faith. It is viewed by its organizers as “Outreach in Spiritual Formation”.
The conference dates remain flexible to accommodate the schedules of guest speakers. However, when possible it has been scheduled as a weekend event in the spring or fall. It is usually held on the grounds of the Church. Beginning traditionally on Friday evening, there may be an introductory talk accompanying a wine and cheese reception. Saturday is a full conference day divided by a luncheon, which is included in the conference fee. On Sunday morning, guest speakers are often invited to participate in the structure of the service. Out-of-town attendees are also invited to attend on Sunday.
